the Price of Renting a Pickup Truck

This service was for a pick up truck rental for one day. We rented the truck from a nationally known moving place, usually known for big box trucks, but all we needed was a small pickup truck to help my son move some of his stuff into his college dorm. We rented a small chevrolet s10 pickup for 19.99 for the day, but after taxes, insurance and gas the total was closer to $40. We had to put $80 down at the time we rented the truck and when we returned it they refunded us $40 back.

This was a good service for what we needed it for. The truck was clean, and it drove smoothly. It was just a small pickup for some small things like a computer desk, and a futon fold out couch. They charged us by the mile after the inital $19.99 cost, and would have charged us more if we returned the truck to a different location than what we picked it up at.

Shop around and see what you can find, if you only need it for a short while, chances are you know a family memeber that will loan you their truck which would save you a bunch of money.
