Description of service
This was for a normal business day service call, it involved charging the air conditioner. There wasn't any major work, such as checking to ensure that the lines didn't have leaks. This was just to get the air conditioning unit running long enough to determine if it needed to be replaced.
Review of Service
The air conditioning unit initially went down on Memorial Day weekend, and the service technician answered the pager unfortunately he didn't respond for three days. In weather of near 100 degrees and 95% humidity this was unacceptable, but he was the only technician who would even answer his pager. This call simply had him charge the air conditioning unit, after which he left and the air conditioner stopped working 6 days later. Luckily as the week progressed, the weather cooled off which enabled my family to survice (with cool baths) until the air conditioning unit could be replaced. I wouldn't recommend the service tech to anyone else, unless the requirements were none time sensitive and only needing servicing.
Tips
Have a pre existing relationship with service technicians if at all possible, not just for emergencies though. Maybe having an air conditioning unit serviced before it goes bad may not be such a bad idea.
