the Price of a Nanny

I currently pay $500 dollars a week for a nanny to come to my home and watch my two children. She is usually there for six hours a day, five days a week. I give her extra money-$50 dollars an hour-if I need her to stay an extra hour or two or if I need her to come on the weekend. I also usually give her extra money, usually twenty dollars, on days when I need her to do extras for me-like go to the grocery store or take my children to a friend's house.

My nanny is wonderful. My children simply adore her. She spends a lot of her time playing with them and doing little projects with them. She also always leaves the house cleaner than it was when she got there. She always gives me advance notice if she has a conflict or is sick and will not be able to watch the children.

If you are going to hire a nanny to watch your children, I would advise interviewing many people for the position. After all, they are going to be looking after the most important people in your life. I would recommended hiring someone who agrees to a criminal background check, can provide multiple references, and is trained in CPR.
