I hired my current nanny through a recommendation from a friend. We pay her $18 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. She is responsible for our 3 kids while my husband and I are working. She drives them to and from where they need to go, feeds them on nights we are working late and plays with them.
Review of Service
I absolutely love my nanny. I stayed home with my older two children, but decided to go back to work part-time 6 months ago. Our nanny has made our busy lives so much easier. I trust my kids with her completely; they love her and she genuinely loves them. They get along great. She is reliable, caring and is always flexible with her working schedule. It is tough to juggle 3 kids so young, but she is patient and kind and does an amazing job. I would not have been able to go back to work with a clear conscience if we didn't have her in our lives.
Tips
My tip for finding a great nanny is to first get recommendations from friends whose kids are maybe outgrowing their nanny or for great, reputable agencies to help you find someone. The nanny spends so much time with your kids, it is essential that not only they be comfortable with him or her, but that you and your spouse are as well. Find someone your whole family meshes well with because it will make everyone's life better and easier.
