Description of service
I enrolled in a class that consisted of five lessons, one night each week. Each lesson was scheduled for one hour but the instructor always remained to answer questions and to assist with special problems the students may have encountered. The cost of $80 was for the instructions. We were able to buy the necessary materials at a large discount through a store recommended by the school.
Review of Service
The instruction was excellent and I never felt frustrated in attempting to make the first project. She was an American Indian and showed us some of the items she had made over the years and also pictures of the finished baskets previous students had made in her classes. It inspired me with confidence that I too, could learn to weave. The price was very fair value and the class all seemed to feel satisfied. As with any class, some "students" kept asking questions and tried to control all the instructor's time. She handled it very well and was able to assist all of us.
Tips
When signing up for an adult class, be prepared for each class. Do your assigned homework, we had reading assignments, and come on time to class. Be willing to help a classmate if you know the solution without taking too much of your own project time. Don't be afraid to try something entirely new, you can learn to do it.
