Review of Service

I hate the dentist - I've been known to skip dental appointments out of sheer, paralysing fear. So when I found a dentist who is gentle, competent, friendly, and comforting, I certainly wasn't going to leave because of the price. I have dental insurance through my work, but this dentist was outside of network, and I had to pay about half of the total out of pocket, all told. Still, it was worth it. My old dentist would have me bleeding profusely after the cleaning - I thought it was normal - and every procedure was seemingly planned for pain. Also, his diagnosis was guided by what the insurance would pay. This doctor was different - my mouth felt fine after cleaning, he filled the tooth that needed it, and I was on my way, still numb but feeling fine. You can get good dental work for a decent price!

Tips

Shop around. Don't be afraid to leave a dentist that isn't treating you delicately - your gums and teeth are sensitive, and deserve to be treated as such. And don't be cheap: you have to pay to get what you need.
