Description of service
Dental care is very important and very necessary, but it can also be very costly if you don't have dental insurance. The cost of most routine cleanings at my local dentist is about $100. That just includes the regular cleaning, and exam, x rays are an additional $150! For filling a cavity it is usually also about $100 to $150 depending on how much work needs to be done. If you go to the dentist twice a year like they recommend that you do, and you have a couple cavities each time, you are going to pay at least $500 per year for dental care, and thats just for one person.
Review of Service
I very much like the dentist I go to. I would recommend that you find a dentist in your local area, and hopefully one that you like and feel comfortable with and stick with them. Its very important for good oral health to see your dentist regularly. It would also be wise to look into dental insurance. You can find many options on the internet. It can be very affordable, and a better option than paying for dental service out of pocket, especially if you have a large family.
Tips
You should consider your options and whats best for you. If you are single and and only have your teeth cleaned twice a year and you usually have no trouble with your teeth, like cavities and such, it might be cheaper for you to pay for the service. If you have a large family, I think I would look into the best affordable dental insurance that meets your family's needs.
