General view of my teeth and cavities. Cost $325.00 , time dentist worker on me 2 minutes. I needed to have my teeth checked overall so that I got a letter saying that I wouldn´t need any work done for the next 6 months.
Review of Service
As I wanted to join a 3 month program in a merchant marine school, I was asked for a general letter from a dentist detailing that I didn´t have to have any worked done for at least 6 months. At the dentist office I waited for about 45 minutes, filling out forms and when my turn was finally up I went in the office and the assistant prepared me for just about two minutes that the dentist looked in my mouth and in a hurry just said, yeap you are good to go, will write you the letter. I was glad it took just 2 mins of his time as I thought, well this is going to be easy. My surprise came at the end when just for the small service I had performed the bill was an astonishing $325.00, I almost fell over.
Tips
To avoid the same situation to happen to you, please do some research. It is very easy these days to find 800 numbers or even websites that can find a good deal for you and maybe even give you a price for the service before you get there, so my advice is to use this services to avoid surprises like the one I had.
