the Price of a Dental Cleaning and Check-up

I had a cleaning done, x-rays of my entire mouth, and 6 cavities filled. My payment was broken up into several payments becuause of the large dollar amount.

I am very paticular about all doctors and find it very hard to find a doctor that I like. I love my dentist and all her staff. This is the first time I have had to pay for denatl services without my insurance covering it. I know some of you might balk at the price that I payed however I feel the service that I received was well worth it. My dentist as well as ALL her staff did an exceptional job. I had no problems with all the cavities I had to have filled. They split those appointments up so that my whole mouth was not numb. I had no pain whatsoever. The cleaning was fantastic, I did not bleed at all, and the x-rays were quick and easy. The best part is that they allowed me to spread my payments out over several months so that I didn't have to drop all that money at once.

Definelty shop around. Like many have said before, you get what you pay for. I think that feeling comfortable and well taken care of are the most important things and it may take awhile for you to find someone who can do that for you. Don't be scared of the price, but don't think that just because someone is more expensive that they do a better job or becuase they are less expensive they are no good. You should also ask if you can have some sort of payment plan if you do not have coverage.
