Description of service
Overall, the cooking class was about three to three and half hours long. It was very informative. It was more watching than cooking. Every once in a while they would ask for a volunteer to help with a demonstration. They taught general knowledge of cooking from the basics all the way to advanced baking and decorating. They did not just stick to one particular area of cooking, but varied the class from breakfast and snacks to dinner and desserts. They also demonstrated a lot of different cooking utensils, which of course you could buy after the class. The fifteen dollars I paid was really just to pay for the "freebies" that they gave us, since it was not really a hands on thing.
Review of Service
I really enjoyed this class. It was very informative and I liked that they did not assume you knew anything about cooking. They really taught you step by step. I also liked that they showed you how to use a lot of different cooking utensils. For fifteen dollars, I definitely felt like I got my money's worth, knowledge wise. They gave us a lot of stuff to carry home to. I was very grateful for the tons of recipes I received. Overall, I would definitely recommend a cooking class.
Tips
Make sure you do not have anything planned for after the class because the class I took was scheduled to be for two hours and it ended up being over three hours. It was a good experience and I believe anyone could take some kind of knowledge away from a cooking class.
