Description of service
$50 was the price that was charged for dreadlocks using the latchhook method. There were no other cost involved. One of my sons had started his locs a few months prior but because of the texture of his hair, it took some time to loc. We were advised by a different salon to try the latch hook or sisterlock technique, but everywhere that we went, the price was out of our budet. This stylist only charges $50 and unlike the regular locking technique, no maintenance from a stylist was required for 4 months.
Review of Service
I was very satisfied. My son's locs are beautiful. This technique saved money because we didn't have to worry about going to a stylist weekly or bi-weekly as we did with one of my other children. They guy that performed the service did not take very long and it looked great after he was done. For months, we were able to maintain hsi locks at home by washing only.
Tips
It is important to know your hair texture to see which technique will work better for you. Having an idea which technique is best will save the expense of trial and error. Most hair shops and stylist won't tell you that a technique won't work if they are being paid.
