the Price of Dreadlocks

An African Braid and dread shop in Nashville, Tennessee. I had all of my permed hair cut off and my natural hair dreadlocked for 1st time with seashells on the ends. My natural hair was approximately 3 inches long and it took about 2 hours.

The service was great. The stylist talked to me and made me feel very comfortable by offering me something to drink and even a snack. She talked to me like she had known me for a long time. The fact that I felt so comfortable and did not feel like I was at a hair shop, where you wait all day and watch the clock until you are done, was great and allowed the time to fly by.

My hair looked great. The dreads were not all over the place. I looked very nice and professional. My hair was shiny and she had stretched my hair out to the fullest making it look long. The dreads have actually held up well and it has been just over a month.

I would recommend going off of referral. If you see someone's hair that you like then ask them about who did it. It is one thing that you don't want to just let anyone try since the initial style is the basis for what your dreads will look like forever.
