Description of service
Paying for overdraft is not really a service you buy or plan to use. Unfortunately it is a fee banks will charge you whenever you attempt to use more money then what you have in your account. It can come in any form, like writign a check or having an automated debit coming in to your account. The price charged by the back is 39 dollars for each item. The "each item" is very important to keep in mind.
Review of Service
You can have a whole disaster start from one unsufficient fund. No matter how small is the amount your overdraft your account with, the bank will charge you the hefty fee. And then if there are other checks or electronic debits are coming in at the same time, they will impose a 39 dollar fee on each of these. You can end up looking at hundreds of dollars charges in fees from your own bank. Now that is just one side of the problem. Your bank charges you but then the places where your payment failed will charge you another hefty amount as well. God knows what is the limit on the damages you can have just by overdraft your account even with a penny.
Tips
Keep a very reliable track of your bank payments. Don't forget about reoccurring electronic payments. You can try to keep additional money in the account for just in case. Or setup an account to give you overdraft protection.
