Description of service
I paid 50 dollars to have my dog flea dipped and groomed. I know a person who does it out of her home. We took our dog there in the morning and picked him up after work. He smelled wonderful and had an adorable little bandana around his neck. We did attempt to tip but were told that she didn't accept tips as she is the proprieter of her business. Typically I would have tipped $5.00.
Review of Service
Great service. Choosing to have it done in a person's house is a great idea because you know they are going to get individual attention. The place we take our dog does not have cages. She just has a very large backyard. Our dog gets to hang out outside with other dogs all day if the yard isn't muddy. If it is the groomer still has a lot of dog toys and of course her dogs are there. Plenty of playmates!
Tips
Having your dog groomed at an individual's house might not be the best idea if your dog doesn't get along well with others. I think typically the animals are left 'loose' and aren't caged. Also I would definitely make sure that I did a reference check on an individual if I was going to trust them with my dog (we know our groomer personally so it wasn't an issue in our case).
