Description of service
I took my dog to the home of a professional groomer. The groomer had worked for 10 years in a grooming saloon before starting their own business. I dropped my dog off in the morning and picked him up after work. The cost was $50 and I tipped $10.
Review of Service
This worked out really well. Taking your dog to an individual's home usually means that they can be really flexible with the time you drop the dog off and the time you pick the dog up. Also in my experience there are usually other dogs for the dog to play with during the day. Our dog was flea dipped as well as being groomed which is a great service that is available. Our dog then had his hair washed and cut. He got a bandanna that of course he had wiggled free of by the time we got home. Our dog really loves the dog groomer's house and is always really excited when we show up and is very energetic and happy once we get him home.
Tips
Make sure whomever you take your dog to is licensed and bonded. Don't use someone without experience. Dog grooming is harder than you'd think.
