the Price of Dog Grooming in Someone's Home

Our dog had gotten into the trash, and had already messed up some of his fur playing in the mud and we needed to have him cleaned and groomed. We found an ad in the phone book for a person doing grooming in their home. We took our dog, who is a 65 pound boxer, to the groomer's home who had a semi professional set up in their walk out basement. They cleaned our dog, cut some of his hair and gave him a good brushing to get some of the loose hair out. The total cost for everything was $50 and it took a little over an hour.

I wasn't comfortable at first with going to someone's home to have this done, but once I got there I saw they were running a very professional business from their home. They had all the tools a vet would have for grooming and tons of different soaps and cleaners. They even had a little store section of their basement where I could buy my own dog shampoo and accessories.

I found this ad in the phone book, but you can also look online or ask other people for recommendations. Make sure your dog is taken care of, as I would have never left my dog there alone if I didn't think the home was clean and safe.
