the Cost of Urgent Care Clinics

For about two weeks I had been extremely congested and felt like sleeping all day. My entire body ached even when I took Alieve. I knew that bug was going around my office and that I couldn't afford to get sick right before I had a big presentation planned. $255 was for the basic visit fee and a uralisis to determine if it was anything more. Doctors are pretty expensive considering I was waiting for two hours before the doctor saw me for 5 minutes, then there was more waiting. You come to expect that at the doctors office now adays.

The staff was friendly and even helped look up my insurance information even though I didn't have my insurance card with me. The billing staff even was very helpful when they accidentally billed me instead of my insurance company. They fixed the situation for me. The doctor was very nice and even was willing to have a quick conversation with me about sports. In the end it was the flu that was getting around at work and the doctor wrote me a perscription for some antibiotics and I was on my way. Beyond the long wait, the office had a very inviting office that made you feel at home. I would definitely go back if sick in the future.

I'm assuming most urgent care offices are about the same price. If you have insurance like me just find the nicest place to wait that will also take your insurance because you'll be waiting for a long time during flu season.
