Description of service
I had brought in a family member to a urgent care facility because she did not have a primary care physician at that moment. She had been complaining of severe stomach pains and she had been throwing up. Our nearest facility is very nice, and not usually crowded. We would check in with basic information and then be seated.
Review of Service
For minor things this place can be great! However, in our situation this place was the WORST place to go to. He ran some blood work to check her white blood count, and examined her abdomen. He told me if her white count was high he was going to suspect an appendicitis. In which he would direct us to the nerest hospital. Her count did come back high and we did go to the hospital. THere we sat in the ER for 3 hours and she had to endure a bariam cat scan to rule out the possible appendicitis. Turns out she did not have an appendicitis.
Tips
As most people would agree urgent care facitilies just are not the best place to go for something serious, or something that could be serious. My cousin had to endure some painful and unpleasant procedures because of dr that didn't know any better. And for a doctor to not know better, is a little scary. We found out later that there are many other less expensive ways to rule out an appendicitis. That makes me wonder if urgent care faciitlies and hospitals work hand in hand. We went to the hospital he told us to go to.
