the Price of Arts and Crafts Classes for Kids

The nature center is a nearby town offers specials for the kids when school's out. Last weekend was no different as they offered an arts and crafts workshop for children which utilized nature (leaves, sticks, flowers, etc.) in all types of crafts. The $27 covered all materials used and included a few "bring home" type arts and crafts. The class covered a Friday and Saturday both.

This program was wonderful. In addition to the arts and crafts fun, they also learned about the natural items that were used in the process. Rather than just referring to the "leaves" used in decorating, the children were all shown the different types of leaves and given a small amount of information about them. It was a wonderful way for them to learn more without them ever realizing it.

Although all moms are proud of the work their children do in an arts and crafts type environment, the crown jewel of this class was a cheap, store bought vase decorated with leaves, vines, small pinecones, etc. Inside the vase was a small wildflower arrangement. It was absolutely adorable and a great way to ensure that the moms all let their children return next time.
