My son took a arts and crafts class during the summer. I paid $65 for the whole two months that he went and he loved it. He got to go every Monday and Friday from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. He got to learn how to draw cartoons and people. Learned what the best paint was to use along with the best paint brush to paint on canvas and pottery. He got to make a bird house and paint it then they hung them outside the art room. He also learned to weave baskets and how to use a pottery wheel as he made a plate for his grandmother. He learned so much and loves to show us what he is able to do now.

I was shocked that I was able to find something so close to home. I am glad that I let him take these classes. The ladies there did a lot with the children over the two month period that they was there. My son would always come home with something to show me or to do at home in his own time. They also allowed him to bring paint home so he could work on his canvas painting at home so he could finish it.

Arts and crafts is a great way to let your child express them self. You can find places like this in your local phone book or ask your local school if they have summer programs. Let your child try as many things as they would like so they are able to find something they love to do and would want to do.
