Description of service
We sent my child to a day camp over the summer that focused on Arts and Crafts. It was 4 hours a day for 5 days. The cost was $400 and did include materials, although we could buy additional materials if we wanted different ones than they provided.
Review of Service
This was a great camp. Everyday they had a different project. The counselors would show them examples and tell them a little bit about the history behind the particular craft they were making. Then they would give instructions and let the kids work on their projects. It was a really creative and nurturing environment. Our daughter hadn't done much arts and crafts stuff before so she was a little nervous and shy to get creative but the counselors told her that there was no wrong way to do anything. On the last day they had a little art gallery showing where the parents and family could come and look at all the different things the kids did. I think it improved her self-esteem and helped her come out of her shell a little bit.
Tips
This is a great way to get your kids excited about a new hobby. Make sure where ever you send them is a reputable place that you will feel comfortable leaving your child.
