Description of service
Our daughter went to an arts and crafts camp last summer. We paid $300 for one week of this camp. They did all kinds of arts and crafts.
Review of Service
Our daughter was 7 last summer and hadn't picked up any hobbies yet. We wanted to expose her to several different opportunities so she could figure out what she is interested. One of the options was arts and crafts but we weren't sure what type of arts and crafts she might be interested. That's why we sent her to a week long came that did all kinds of things. They did painting, sculpting, scrapbook making, pottery and even a little bit of photography, amongst other projects. We thought this was well worth our money. She got a great overview into the different arts and crafts types out there. She did end up getting really exciting about painting and still paints now. The teachers at her camp gave a lot of personal attention and encouragement.
Tips
When helping your child find a hobby it's important to expose them to all kinds of different opportunities so they can figure out what they're interested in. When trying something out, sports, arts and crafts, what-have you, make sure that whomever is teaching them has a lot of patience and kindness.
