Description of service
Our daughter took an arts and crafts class at our local camp. She got 5 classes that were an hour each. The total for those 5 hour long classes was $65.
We were considering sending our daughter to a day camp for a week during the summer. We decided in the end not to do so but were interested in one of the classes they offered during the day camp. It was an arts and crafts class. We found out that we could just take her for that particular class as opposed to signing her up for the entire week of all different classes.
Review of Service
She had a great time there. She's only 7 and the class had people from 7 to 9 years old. We liked that it was full of her peers. It was also a small class so she got a lot of individual attention.
The downside was that because the other people in the class were taking a lot of different classes together in day camp, she didn't really make any friends because they'd already formed their groups.
Tips
Taking advantage of just a part of a day came like this can be a great money saver if there's only one thing you're interested in. However, it can prevent your child from feeling included.
