Description of service
I went to my regular dentist for severe swelling and pain on the right side of my mouth. He looked at it and knew I needed a Periodontist. So, never even knowing that such a thing existed, I went where they sent me. He looked at my mouth and knew that something had gotten in between my gum and my tooth. I concluded it was probably a popcorn shell. I had to go back to him after taking an antibiotic for a few days. He then proceeded to cut my gum away from my teeth on the whole side, clean it all out good, and restitch me back up. I do not even have a cavity in my mouth and I am 52 years old. So this could have been very traumatic for me as I had never even had a shot in my mouth.
Review of Service
He made it so easy for me and I had hardly any pain after words. I had the whole one side cut away and the pain was so minimal. He was friendly and professional and easy to work with. My insurance did not cover all of it and he allowed me to make payments to him. He truly cares about the people as he has a sign right on his wall telling you that the price is less important than the pain and he will work costs out with you. A true genuine caring doctor.
Tips
I got lucky in that my dentist sent me here. Actually you probably have to be referred anyway. My advice though is that you must be comfortable with him or her or the experience can be horrific. If you are not comfortable, remember there are more than one Periodontist.
