the Cost of Hypnotherapy

I used a hypnosis clinic based in Richmond, VA who had affiliates across the US. The program was to help me to quit smoking.

I went to my appointments as instructed. I did quit after just 2 visits. But after about 3 months I began craving again, (my fault... I stopped listening to the reinforcement CD's) as I was told, I tried to contact them to enforce the lifetime guarantee. They never returned my call.

I tried calling my therapist. She agreed to bring me back in to help me with my cravings. At my appointment I found out that the company I had originally went through is no longer in business or reachable. My therapist honored the guarantee, but said that I could have spent 50 dollars per visit and received the same level of care. The company I went through charged me 600 dollars to do what could have been done in just 200. I was very disappointed.

Besides that, the care was great. The therapy sessions were very relaxing and effective. I receive my hour long hypnosis sessions, reinforcement CD's, and one on one evaluation with a professional. I am happy with the services, but wish I had done more research into what all was out there before I bit the hook I chose.

Overall, I would recommend the service for quitting smoking. But if you want to find a therapist, look in your local telephone book or on line yellow pages before going through a referral agency.
