the Price of Interior House Painting

$1200 is what it cost for me to hire someone to come to my studio apartment hand have all 800 square feet painted with primer and my choice of paint color. I also had the ceiling painted since it was a little drab. I say that the apartment has four rooms but really the bedroom is in the living room and the open kitchen is attached to the bathroom so it's more like one normal size room and one small room. It took just two days to get the job done. Only because the primer had to dry before any other painting could be done. The previous tenant had a fetish for pink so the reason we had to prime over already painted walls was so the pink wouldn't show through the new richer colored walls.

The two man crew showed up about two hours late on both days and took two hours for lunch. Not the most efficient paint crew, but it all happened while I was at work and my son in law just supervised to make sure it got done. The final result looks great and really makes my small space pop and feel like it's a much bigger space that it actually is.

Now that I look back I probably could have done the priming and painting during my weekend, but I chose not to, so next time painting needs to be done I think I'll just do it myself.
