Description of service
We had a bit of painting work to be done on an apartment that we own. The walls were in good shape but the trim needed work, especially along the baseboards as they got quite scuffed up when work was done to the floor. We had a guy come in to paint the trim in basically the whole apartment. He was not necessarily a professional painter but more of a general construction worker. As this work was not too detailed, we hired him because he was a little bit cheaper. He charged twenty dollars per hour and did ten hours of work for us.
Review of Service
He did a nice job painting the trim. While his work was not perfect, we did not expect it to be. He did a nice job at keeping the white trim paint off of the walls and floors. However, when you look up close, some of his brush work is a bit sloppy. This is a bit of a tedious complaint. If you were not looking, you likely would not notice the imperfections. He did the job pretty quickly and because we needed it done ASAP, we were especially happy. I think we would hire the same guy again to do similar work.
Tips
Depending on the difficulty of the job, you may be able to hire a "semi-professional" painter at a discounted price.
