Description of service
We hired a guy to do some interior painting work for us. He did basic work: patching and sanding cracks and holes where necessary, painting walls. He charged on an hourly basis at $30 per hour. We supplied the paint. He supplied the brushes, joint compound, sandpaper, and other necessary supplies.
Review of Service
We were pretty happy with the work he did for us. The work was simple. He just painted interior walls - no ceilings and no trim. He did do a nice job. With few noticeable exceptions, the job looked very professional. He was especially good at "cutting in" along the ceilings and trim. This was very well done. The job was done quickly - especially considering he was paid by the hour. I was a bit worried he would work slow. But, he did not. Also, he cleaned up well after each day, which is a big thing. Further, he did not get paint anywhere other than the walls; if he did, he cleaned it up without us noticing. The price was pretty reasonable, given where we live. It definitely saved us time that we did not have and looks better than if we had done it ourselves.
Tips
Ask for references. Anyone can pick up a paintbrush and paint. But if you want a good job done, make sure to call a couple of people for whom he or she has done work in the past.
