Description of service
The cost of a 1/2 hour massage at a massage school was $15. Tip was optional, so I tipped $5. This was a full body massage on a massage table. The price included a private massage with a massage therapist-in training.
Review of Service
It was actually a pretty good massage for $15. I've paid more than double that for a 1/2 hour full body massage. I could tell that the therapist was still learning, though. I was able to check my preferences on a sheet of paper, such as the amount of talking, music, lights, etc. It seems that the massage therapist respected all of my preferences. The music was very soothing. There was even some aromatherapy present. The massage lasted for a full half hour. I felt that the therapist was a little afraid to press too hard.
Tips
A great option for a discounted massage is to contact a massage therapy school. They often have discount nights, where you can get a massage from someone who is in training to become a licensed massage therapist. You should find out the policy on tipping. Some massage school do not allow their students to accept tips. It is definitely a nice alternative to paying the high price of a regular massage.
