A massage by a student is no different than any other ordinary massage. First, you are treated just like a professional massage and all the procedures are the same. During this service you will enter a massage room, undress as fully as you desire while your masseuse is out of the room, and tell him or her whenever you may be ready. Then you will receive treatment in whatever areas specified by the masseuse. Following the massage all that is required is a single flat fee payment. I had a massage and did not tip because they were students.

This service is definitely recommended for someone who can not afford or have access to a personal masseuse. One reason to this is that these students are in the later portion of their training, and they have already experienced many ideas and techniques. A negative however is the student may not have a personal basis with you or their own personal work place which could dictate the fluency of the massage. Also, this is a very economical and practical decision. Saving twenty to forty dollars on one massage while not sacrificing a lot of quality is key.

The main thing in advice is make sure the school has students who have experienced multiple training sessions and are not just trying to perform massages. An important thing to know however is what particular areas you may want worked on because some students are quite advanced and you may not be ready for a high intellectual aptitude massage.
