Description of service
A local neighborhood boy who is good with animals walks our dog and the dogs of some of our neighbors, usually several at a time. The price is for a nice long walk in the morning or evening and usually lasts about an hour. The early morning and evening walks are the only services offered.
Review of Service
We don't use the service regularly, but we do use it occasionally. Usually when we're pressed for time we'll call up the dog walker and he'll stop by before we leave, then put the dog in the back yard when he's done being walked. The dog is always happy to see the dog walker, just as he's always happy to go for a walk with us, so I think we're getting value for our money.
Tips
Dog walking is one of those professions where you want to be able to know the person who's doing the work personally. There's no place of business, or rather there doesn't have to be, so there's an easy opening for bad behavior on the part of the dog walker.
It's a good job for a neighborhood kid, but make sure he's gentle with the animals before trusting him with your dog.
