Description of service
This is an in-home service, so the sitter comes to the house for $15 per visit. A visit lasts about 30 minutes. It includes playtime, feeding, and making sure they have plenty of water. If there is any sign of a health issue, they will call me, or, if they cannot reach me, the veterinarian. They will come as many times a day as I choose, the price for each visit is the same.
Review of Service
I am satisfied with the service, overall. My boys are shy, so they have not done a lot of playing with the sitter, but I believe that this is their choice, rather than a lack of time or effort on the part of the sitter. I feel confident that if there were an emergency, it would be handled well.
Tips
The most important thing, I think, is to see the sitter interacting with your dog(s). Dogs and people have unique personalities, and they need to click. A good sitter will ask question and play with a dog to get a sense of their personality. They will build on this relationship over time, until your pet(s) feel completely confident and secure with the sitter. That can take many months, and so you should not judge a sitter too soon. The important thing is that they are working on a relationship, and believe that this is important.
