Description of service
$20 an is what I paid for my nephew to take drum lessons. It was at the musicians music studio in mid-town Manhattan. We stayed for an hour.
Review of Service
I took my 15 year old nephew to drum lessons so he could maybe take out some frustrations. He's been begging his mom for a drum set and I figured I'd let the kid take lessons and see if he liked it. He loved it, turns out the instructor was in a band and my nephew was in dreamland. It was fun for us both. The coordination part didn't come easy but the instructor gave him really great ideas and techniques to improve his dexterity.
He played solo for awhile and then they worked together playing in time with a song. I think if he sticks with it he could be pretty good. This is definitely not a class where your going to become a world class drummer over night. I'm sure it takes tons of practice and work to get really good. My nephew still continues to go but it was a little much for my head so I have not gone back. The instructor was kind enough to go with my nephew to pick out his drum set. It's encouraged my nephew to be more outgoing, he really enjoys it.
Tips
For great prices look for college students who may have been playing for a long time, also check out newspapers and fliers in stores for instructors.
