Description of service
I went to the OB/Gyn I normally go to because I was having a urinary issue but wasn't sure that is what it was. My urine was tested with a dipstick and then I had an appointment with one of the midwives in the OB/Gyn practice to discuss my symptoms. The appointment lasted approximately 20 minutes. I was asked questions regarding my symptoms and then told possible diagnoses if there was no infection after my urine sample was sent out to the lab and returned with results.
Review of Service
I absolutely love this practice, because there are midwives within the practice that really take the time to talk to you, and almost always offer natural solutions to your problems before prescribing medicines. You do not feel like just a "patient" with them, you feel like you are talking to someone who cares and you feel confident that they will take care of you too. I was satisfied they did a urine test and also explored my problem further in consultation.
Tips
When it comes to female issues and gynecological appointments, I suggest going to someone who really listens to you, and if you are interested, someone who will offer natural remedies as well as being able to prescribe medicine if needed. To talk with a doctor who explores issues with you and explains your body functioning as well as more than one possible solution is really great to see in a busy world where many doctors don't have time to do this.
