Description of service
The $150 cost included an annual gyn exam by a specialist ob/gyn doctor in our area. The exam was not a total physical exam, but did include a pelvic exam and pap smear in the cost, as well as vitals, review of health history, and breast exam. No blood work or anything else extra was done. The doctor probably spent about 15 minutes with me, or maybe even less so it was a quick trip.
Review of Service
Medical services are always so expensive for the time you get with the doctor, so that is a bit disappointing but is somewhat to be expected. The doctor was nice though and did what she was scheduled and expected to do. Not the most joyful service to be given, but important for your health and well-being!
Tips
I would highly recommend asking around from good friends to find a doctor they'd recommend to you. That type of service is so terrible when done by an insensitive or rushed doctor who you already don't know anyways! Also, as far as finances, if you have insurance, check with them first to make sure the service and doctor who provides it are covered. If you don't have insurance, call the office ahead of time and get a cost. Oftentimes, they'll give you a lower cost if you are uninsured, but asking always helps!
