the Price of an Ob/Gyn

I am pregnant and went to the doctor for my first prenatal visit. They charge for the whole pregnancy, instead of charging for each visit throughout the pregnancy. It cost $2600.00 for 13 prenatal visits, the delivery of the baby, and one post delivery visit. Any lab work and ultra sounds are not included and will be charged to my account. There will also be an additional charge for any doctor visits other than the thirteen that are included.

I have been using the same gynecolgist for the past 12 years, so I feel comfortable with him. They do all of their labs and ultra sounds in the same office, which is very convenient. The only thing that I don't like about this doctor's office is that they have five dotor's and whoever is on call will be the doctor that will deliver your baby. They require that pregnant patients see a different doctor on each visit, so that we will have a chance to meet each one before the delivvery date. As far as the price, I think that $2600.00 is normal in my area.

I suggest going to a doctor that comunicates well and listens to their patients. It will be easier to make the right decisions for you and your child.
