Description of service

I received weekly watercolor painting instruction on a weekly basis. The classes were three hours long on weekday evenings. The class itself cost $30 per week. There were no gratuity fees. The materials cost between $100 and $200 dollars. This included the price of the watercolors, the palette, brushes, pencils, erasers, and paper.

Review of Service

Taking watercolor classes was one of the most rewarding things that I have ever experienced. I absolutely love the local art school. Going there during the evenings was such a release after a long day. My teacher was absolutely so amazing. He was so talented and very friendly. There were about fifteen people in the class at a wide variety of ages. Everyone chose what they wanted to paint on their own, choosing either a photograph or arranged still life to work from. All the students work on their own, and receive individual instruction as our teacher makes his way from person to person around the studio. At the end of each class, he would do an hour long lesson on a topic of his choice. The students gather around him to watch him paint.

Tips

If you're just starting out don't ever be disappointed by your results. There's so much room to grow as a watercolor artist. All it takes is practice and the help of a great teacher. For the first few months, I wouldn't suggest buying very expensive supplies. Student grade is the best to start out on, and as you get better you can progress on to more expensive papers and paints. Taking watercolor classes is a great way to learn something new and relax a little too.
