Description of service

The service I received was a six week course of once weekly watercolor painting classes. Each class lasted about two hours, so it was a total of about 12 hours of instruction. This was a basic watercolor course which started with an introduction to color mixing and the properties specific to watercolor. We first experimented with different color combinations on various watercolor papers then progressed to composition and more watercolor techniques. By the end of the class, we had all produced several watercolor paintings. The cost was only for the instruction. Students were required to provide all materials and their own expense.

Review of Service

This was an excellent value. The classes were provided in a professional but friendly manner and covered a great deal of information and experiences in a short time. Some students felt the pace of the class was too fast, others too slow. I felt the pace of the class was ideal, with enough time to get everything done and understand the concepts and techniques, but going quickly enough that we accomplished much.

Tips

As with any service, I think any art classes will be better for all involved if everyone understands what is being provided and what is expected from everyone. Being on time for class is helpful, as is asking questions about anything that isn't clear. Good communication between student and teacher is what will make this an excellent experience.
