Description of service
I opted for the annual premium package, which covers the following things:
accident, illness, X-Rays, Surgeries, Cancer, Perscriptions, Hospitalization, Vaccinations, Heartworm Control, Spaying, Flea contorl, Urinanalysis and dental work. This is a very comprehensive package and covers most of the vet treatment that your cat might need.
The cost for this plan broke down into two parts, the basic plan which was $218 and the additional premier coverage which was $264. This ensure the highest level of complete coverage available.
Review of Service
I have had no complaints about the quality of this service. All vet bills are reimbursed after the fact, with a fee of $50 excess being deducted for each incidence. THere is then 90% of the total fees are reimbursed, with this percentage then going back up to 100% for each incident i.e there is no extra penalty other than the $50 excess for the number of times your pet goes to the vet.
Tips
Check that the company has recognition from Vets, and employs trained Vets itself. Also check that the company has a stable and proven track record. Check the exact range of conditions covered and for any renewal benefits. Also find out whether there is some sort of pre-certification required to put your pet on a certain plan.
