Description of service
I pay an annual premium of $507 for my dog's pet health insurance. The annual benefit is up to $14,000.00 and my deductible is $50.00. That is the basic plan. My provider also has an option for a premium plan. I'm not sure about the specifics of that one.
Review of Service
My last dog became very ill and was ill for a very long time. I spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on her care. That's why when I got my current job I made sure to get pet insurance. I am so glad I have! My co-pay is low (it varies based on the service) and I can go to pretty much any vet I want to. It covers a huge variety of things like exams, vaccinations and dental cleaning. It even covers pet medications! I definitely get my money's worth. Plus it's wonderful to have the peace of mind to know that if my financial situation changes my dogs health will never have to suffer as a result.
Tips
Definitely do your homework! There's a wealth of information on the internet about good and bad companies. Make sure that the plan you choose will let you go to whatever vet you want or at least has plenty of options.
