Description of service

This included the service to put the dog to sleep, and the vet exam before the dog was euthanized. This included the syringe, medication (pain killer and drugs used to put down the dog), as well as the "disposal fee".

Review of Service

It was the most horrifying experience of my life. My dog was having some health problems and he was going to the vet to be treated, the regular vet wasn't at her office as she was on vacation. The office didn't tell us that. The substitute vet looked at our dog and his chart and informed my wife how the dog was suffering because he had the onset of glaucoma (after all he was a bassett hound and it is specific to the breed - due to drooping eyes), and that he had the onset of diabetes. She also went to great lengths to talk about how he needed to be euthanized to save him from suffering. My wife signed the paperwork without talking to me about it, after being pressured by the vet to do so. By the time my wife came out into the waiting room to tell me what was going on the dog had already be euthanized. I have never been back to that vets office.

Tips

Be aware of your vets schedule, don't get caught where there is a fill in who knows nothing about what is going on. Stay away from a vet who really doesn't want to help just wants get things done.
