Description of service
When I was in the middle of moving back into my parents' house I had to rent a storage space to house my belongings until I could get back on my feet (again) after calling around several places I found a storage unit that was 15ftx5ft. The price for this unit was $45 a month with a $30 nonrefundable deposit. Before I even looked at the unit I paid for it. I was a little let down as it was not very well kept. I had to provide my own lock and once I purchased my lock and moved my belongings in, I was feeling a little better about the whole situation. The lady who ran the storage unit was very nice and explained all the terms and conditions. I was told there was no lease and as long as I paid the storage fee every month on the given due date I could store my items there every month.
Review of Service
I checked on my storage space at least once a month when I paid my $45 fee. It all seemed well, my lock had not been messed with and everything was still in place. I had arrived one day to pay my storage fee and the lady insisted I was a month behind on my unit. We sat down for over an hour and situated it all out, she had marked the wrong date in her book for one of my payments so it was determined I was on time and was not late at all. She apologized for the inconvience and assured me it was okay.
Tips
I would recommend instead of calling places in the phone book, get recommendations from friends and family if possible. These are your personal belongings, don't trust them with just anyone!
