Description of service
The monthly fee of $45.00 was for a ten-foot-by-ten-foot storage unit. Any applicable taxes and fees for the service were included in the $45.00.
Review of Service
The storage unit was clean and dry. The area where the storage unit was located was lighted well at night. The rental fee has not increased in over a year (I started renting the unit in January 2007). The company didn't charge me for a replacement key after I lost mine even though the lock on the unit had to be changed.
The person that I was supposed to meet in order to initiate the rental of the space was late. In almost no instances when I have been at the location of the unit have there been any representatives of the company on the premises.
Tips
Shop around for a good price. Inspect a storage unit for cleanliness and dryness (and potential to stay dry during heavy rains or periods when snow is melting) before agreeing to rent. Use a second lock (that is, in addition to the lock provided by the property owner) if the locking mechanism on the unit allows it. Ask the owner of the property how often the rental fee increases and how soon it may increase in the future.
