Description of service
I needed to store some boxes of papers, antiques, clothing, books, records, and a lot of other items that were taking up too much space in the house, so I did some research and made calls to find a facility that rented storage space for a reasonable monthly rate. I ultimately rented a 10' by 20' climate-controlled space for $75 per month with 24-hour access and owner-controlled locks to limit the ability of the site to enter the space.
Review of Service
Initially, I thought I would need to access the space on a regular basis to sort through the materials that I had stored, but it turned out that once they were put in the space, I didn't miss them and really did not need to get to them at all. I have added to the contents, and have stacked items so that there is more usable area, so the 24-hour access has been helpful. I have been satisfied with the service, especially the control of temperature during the summer, and I have always felt that my belongings are secure in the gated concrete building. The price is reasonable compared to competitors and I feel that it is acceptable based on the owner access feature and the climate control.
Tips
It is easy to overestimate how much space you will need, so try to carefully judge what you plan to store and how often you want to be able to access your possessions. Also, climate control is much more expensive, so if you are only storing papers and clothing, you may not need that feature.
