the Price of Dog Grooming at the Vet's Office

Basic grooming services include a bath, nail trim, ear cleaning and blow dry. Experienced groomers may attempt to brush the dogs teeth or express their anal glands. Depending on the breed of dog, the groomer can also cut their fur. Any matted hair will be removed. I choose to have my shih tzu groomed at the vet due to her age. I had peace of mind knowing if anything should go wrong a veterinarian would be present.

The drop off time for grooming was by 9am in the morning. I was told she would be ready by 3pm. They would call if she was ready earlier. The groomer and I discussed what type of hair cut I would like. I selected what is called a puppy cut. Her hair was to be cut about an inch long on her body with a little tuft of hair on her tail. They called at 2pm to say she was ready. Her fur was evenly cut and she smelt clean.
