Description of service
Last summer our dog, who is a lab mix of several different types of dogs, got really messy in a patch of weeds near our home, so we had to take him to the vet to be groomed. He had all types of stuff knotted up in his long hair, like twigs and those little quill needle balls that are impossible to get out. We took him to the vet and the doctor shaved him, bathed him and even clipped his nails. The total cost for the visit was about $65 and that included taxes.
Review of Service
The service is great. We prefer that a vet do the grooming because they are more aware of a dog's health, compared to someone in their home that doesn't have any formal training or education. The people at the vet's office are very nice, and treat my dog with respect, almost as if he's just another person. Overall it's a great service to use.
Tips
Try different vets and see which one treats your dog the best. If they just treat your dog like a dog, I would go somewhere else. My dog is a part of my family, and I want it to be treated as such. There are all kinds of discount vets too, so you can do an online search for those as well.
