Description of service
We needed to have our dog groomed before taking her on vacation with us and our regular groomer was too busy to fit us into the schedule, so I decided to have the dog groomed at our veterinarian's office. The cost was $52 and they gave her a full bath, cut her hair, trimmed the nails and hair around her paws, and brushed her down really well to take out the loose hair.
Review of Service
Even though the price was a little bit expensive, I was pretty satisfied with the service and went back again a few months later. Sometimes the groomers don't have the experience to cut certain breeds of dogs and the dog comes out looking very unnatural and messy, but the groomer that worked on my dog did a nice job and her appearance was really close to what I wanted and expected. The dog smelled and looked much cleaner and was a lot more comfortable with less hair. Overall, the price was fair based on the good work done by the groomer and our satisfaction with the work.
Tips
You might be able to get a discount on the grooming services if you are a regular client at the veterinarian's office, so be sure to ask about any savings options that might be available to you. Also, just like at a regular grooming salon, don't be afraid to tell the groomer exactly what you want and expect so that they know the result to aim for.
