Description of service
I took my dog to the local vet to have his ears cleaned and his nails trimmed. He gets very anxious when having his nails trimmed, so it is easier to take him to the vet than a local groomer. They cleaned his ears with a simple solution, Q-Tips, and a small cloth. Since it is a vet's office, they also check his ears and eyes for any sign of infection or any possible problems. As my dog does not like having his nails clipped in the least, the vet tech tied his leash to a small clip on the wall to keep him still. One vet tech crouched by the dog and kept him calm and comforted, while another did the actual clipping.
Review of Service
I was relatively happy with the service. I think his nails could have been trimmed a little shorter, but the worker seemed nervous that she would cut him. Besides this, they were very polite and understanding about my dog's bad behavior.
Tips
If you have a dog who exhibits behavior in this situation - it's important to call ahead of time to ensure that there will not be other dogs running loose. It's also important to warn the staff that the dog is anxious, so they are not caught off guard and use excessive force. At a vet's office, restraints and medication are available if necessary, and they tend to be more used to bad behavior.
