Grooming service for 1 year old shih tzu at vet's office. The base price was $35.00 - with taxes it was about $38. Services included shampoo, cut, and blow dry. This office allows drop off at 8:30 in the morning and pick up at 12:30 or later in the afternoon. A tip is appreciated by the groomer, but leave cash for her instead of including on check or credit card as it may not make it to her pocket.

Very professional. The availability of appointments is convenient and the cut is decent, though not exactly what I want. The ability to drop off and pick up later is better alternative than staying while your pet is groomed at a chain store if you trust the groomer.

Make sure your groomer uses sterilized equipment for your pet and listens to your instructions regarding style desires.

I have comparison shopped in my area and $35 is the standard price for the grooming services available in this small town. Prices probably rise in urban areas.
