Description of service
I recently had a root canal and I was very concerned about the price since I did not have dental insurance. Prices range from $350-600 for a front tooth, which usually has one canal,as the dentist explained to me, to $500-$860 for a back molar, which can have three or more. Prices vary based on difficulty, and what each dentist set prices are. The costs really do not vary "that much" It really is just how much work the dentist will have to do on your teeth. I only had one root canal done and the total cost was $400. An endodontist, specializing in tooth root problems, may charge up to 50 percent more. Mine was preformed my regular family dentist that I have been going to for years. I trusted his work and was comfortable with the price that I was charged.
Review of Service
Having a root canal preformed is never a good experience, but you do want the best dentist and the best prices available. I would recommend my dentist to anyone who was worried about having this procedure done.
Tips
I would have this procedure done with my regular family dentist. They know you best and I'm sure you would feel more comfortable than going somewhere else. Insurance does cover this procedure, but if you don't have dental insurance, expect to pay about $400.
